Beaches of South Lake Tahoe

We cover the beaches of South Lake Tahoe in depth in our Lake Tahoe beaches guide, but here are a few highlights of some of the beaches that you can find while enjoying stay in South Lake Tahoe.

Cave Rock Beach

Set just off of highway 50 this beach is a must visit when you are in the area, if you Are interested in local history then you should ask one of the locals what the original use for Cave Rock was, you will probably be very surprised with the answer.

Zephyr Cove

This party beach has one mile of golden sand and is the perfect place to spend the day catching the sun or grabbing a game of beach volleyball. There is a parking fee in effect and there are no dogs allowed on this beach.

Round Hill Pines

This can be considered more of a lakeside park then a beach in the traditional sense, ideal for taking a group picnic without so much sand.

Nevada Beach

This large beach has a great camping area located nearby and is extremely popular with kite boarders thanks to the strong winds that are often found at the beach.

Regan Beach

Another beach that is more like a park, this is a great place for a barbecue.

Tahoe Keys

Located in the center of the south shore region near the Truckee River, popular because of the unique geography of the area, great place to hike and explore.
