Tahoe Donner is the ideal place for a fun and family friendly skiing experience, Tahoe Donner may be one of the smaller skiing resorts in the Lake Tahoe but it is still one of the best. There are a total of 3 parks and 14 runs spread across 120 acres of beautiful mountain terrain, try your hand at cross country skiing over tranquil meadows or the more challenging peaks. You can rent skis, snow shoes and any other equipment that you may need from the rental shops.
For those looking to enjoy a hike in the snow rather than ski then there are trails dedicated to hiking so strap on your snow shoes and enjoy some of the fabulous mountainside scenery as you enjoy a leisurely stroll. If you have brought your pet along with you to Lake Tahoe then the Tahoe Donner cross country skiing center has recently made a number of their trails dog friendly. You can take your dog onto the trails with you after purchasing a daily pass for $5. It’s important that you keep your dog under control whilst on the trails and follow the guidelines that are set out on the dog trails.
Dedicated ski School
Tahoe Donner has one of the most comprehensive skiing and snowboarding lesson programs in the area, in fact there are one of the only resorts that offer ski and board lessons to children as young as 3 years old. The ski lessons are ideal for people of all skill levels, there are group lessons or if you prefer you can have a private one on one lesson. All of the instructors at Tahoe Donner have been coached by professional ski Trainers so you know that you are getting great advice.
Dining at Tahoe Donner
There are a number of great places for you to grab a bite to eat whilst enjoying your time on the slopes including pizza on the hill. This pizza restaurant can be found at the Northwood’s club house offering reasonable prices and a varied menu.
